Maombi ya Kusafiri (”Traveling Prayers” in Kiswahili!)

As we prepare for our trip, we want to include everyone at Zion in our journey.  We are not going to represent only ourselves, but all of you as well!  We could not have this opportunity without the support of the people of Zion and the people of Kirangare too.

In an effort to strengthen our unity in this mission, those of us traveling to Kirangare (Julie, Joe, Mary, Wendy and Pastor Clark) are asking that everyone join us in a committed time of prayer for the trip and for our mission there. Each day, we are asking you to spend 2-5 minutes, 3 times a day praying specifically for us and the journey. On the back table of the narthex is an outline gives more specifics on a way to guide you into the rhythm of prayer for which we are asking. Of course, you may alter or add to this as the Lord leads. We would ask you to continue this practice until after we return from our trip. On Sept 24 during our K-time, we would like to hear from anyone willing to share what your experience has been with the practice.

If you have any questions, you can contact Wendy at wlessary@hotmail.com (email works best—no phone service at work!) Or just ask Wendy at church!  We are looking forward to the journey together.
