Last night we stayed at Amani Lutheran Hostel in Same. We arrived about 1:30am Wednesday local time, 5:30pm Tuesday in Davenport. A long travel day!

Zion’s 2004 visitors stayed here at Amari Lutheran Hostel too. This was my room.
Very comfortable accommodations! Breakfast was delicious. I drank chai tea with a kind of pancake and eggs.
This morning we visited the Pare Diocese office. We met the General Secretary, Tumaini Chambua, and the Director of Women and Children's ministries, Rosemary Kijo.
The bishop was traveling. We will meet him next week. In his office is this, the Pare Diocese theme from Exodus 33:14. A new one is chosen every four years.
Then we visited the offices of Empower Tazania, which is directed by Todd Byerly of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. Empower Tanzania works with the Pare Diocese and local government for education, agriculture, and development.
Now we will go to Kirangare for 6 days and 5 nights, staying in the Church Rest Home there. This is the reason we came, to visit our sisters and brothers of Kirangare!
So far, I've had cell service and 3G internet through my phone. I may not in Kirangare.
